The condition of Delhi's minister of health, Satyendar Jain, who tested positive for coronavirus disease (Covid-19), worsened on Friday and transferred to another hospital in the capital, officials said.
Union home minister Amit Shah wished a speedy recovery for Satyendar Jain.
"Praying for the speedy recovery of Delhi's Health Minister Shri Satyendra Jain who is battling COVID-19 infection," tweeted Shah.
On Wednesday Satyendar Jain tweeted that he had tested positive for coronavirus disease. After developing high fever, he was admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital (RGSSH) on Tuesday, and his oxygen saturation levels fell.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) lawmaker Atishi and two other party members have contracted the respiratory illness.
Also on Wednesday, Akshay Marathe, an adviser to CM Arvind Kejriwal, and Abhinandita Mathur, a consultant to deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, tested positive for the viral disease.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tested negative for Covid-19 last week. After he developed mild fever and a sore throat, his swab samples were collected.
The pandemic shows no signs of stopping it’s spread after all the measures and precautions taken.
